He supports this with an example digital beam-forming application, implemented on an XMC that can reside on either a VME or VPX carrier board. “Using XMC modules comprising the sophisticated signal processing necessary for digital beamforming and then employing them on VME or VPX carriers,” he writes, “is a smart way to keep a foot in both camps.”
