Embedded Computing reports that Acromag  has started fielding FPGA-based PMC boards that accommodate little plug-in analog and digital I/O modules. The Virtex-5 FPGA on the PMC-VLX series  has  up to 155K logic cells and 128 DSP48E slices. The Virtex-5 on the PMC-VSX series has up to to 94K logic cells and 640 DSP48E slices. Available plug-in modules provide two 16-bit, 105 MHz A/D channels or up to 30 digital channels for TTL-level signals, differential RS485 or LVDS.
